I have a 2 day escalation tournament coming up, and could use some input on the list I've put together. I have to use everything I use in day one, on day 2. No changes are allowed, only additions to the army. I can add or beef up units, but not take way or move anything. First day the limit is 1250, the second day is 1850. So anyway, here are my thoughts...

Ork horde detachment

1250 list day one.

HQ:
-Warboss, eavy armor, Headwoppa's killchoppa, combi-skorcha, attack squig, bosspole (114)
-Bigmek, mega armor, KFF (125)

ELITE:
-5 Komandos, 2w/burnas (100)

I think you should consider the bully boys formation. Why take regular nobs when you can take fearless better versions?

I would cut the 2 deffcoptas if they are by them selves.

I wish my local store would play escalation. Here is what I would take if you have the models.

Mega boss with stick in a trukk with MANZ. Grotsnik in another. Lootas provide supportive fire while manz missiles fly forward as fast as possible to get into cc. Grots hold deployment zone or close by objectives and go to ground when shot at especial if in cover. Rokkit koptas scout and fly around subsequent turns harassing and trying to pop any rear armor. When I take koptas I usually take a group of 5 if I can't I only take singles because our ld as orks isn't great.
