As the AoD supplement just says models in the detachment get the rules, do artillery (as non-vehicles) get FNP? I don't think they specifically require the chapter tactics special rule (or is that just tanks in the FAQs)? Thanks.

Those units are neither characters nor vehicles. So, no; no fnp.

Edit: redacted; I was thinking if IWND.

Faq does nothing for those models(also meant models not units, I just woke up); but the AoD supplement with an "iron hands detachment " grants all the chapter tactics rules to all models in the detachment.

1. Nothing in the AoD detachment gives Feel No Pain to anything. It only modifies Feel No Pain they may already have.
2. Rapiers and Tarantulas can never be in that detachment.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

"Iron Hand Detachments

Any Detachment with the Space Marines Faction can be an Iron Hands Detachment if all units in the detachment with the Chapter Tactics special rule are drawn form the Iron Hands. An Iron Hands Detachment retains the Space Marines Faction and is treated in all ways as a Space Marines Detachment. Iron Hands Detachments may also use the following Rules:"

The Flesh is WeaK: Non-vehicle Iron Hands models have the Feel No Pain (+6) special rule. If they have the Feel No Pain rule from another source ( a narthecium, for example, they instead add 1 to the result of any Feel No Pain rolls. "

It states all non vehicle Iron Hand models have feel no pain. Just for being in a Iron Hand Detachment, so yes they get it. Come on they already FAQ it will not die this way. Do we really have to argue this again for Flesh is Weak for a month until they clearly state this in the Angels of Death FAQ?

Draft SM FAQ page 8 first question.
IH IC in unit with WS IC will lose Flesh is Weak while clearly he don't stop being part of IH detachment. Why is that?

I don't know how AoD chapter detachment rules work and I think that this really need separate FAQ.

The IH IC loses fnp from being joined with the ws unit in the FAQ mostly because they are still using or applying the mixed chapter restrictions in the chapter tactics rules.

The non-dreadnaught vehicles still getting iwnd actually has nothing to do with AoD; that question was still discussing core_codex chapter tactics.

The AoD versions of the chapter tactics rules provide all models in the given chapter detachments the special rules without chapter tactics rules ever being involved

Yet, the FAQ did not mention that. Question did not specify from where both IC have their Hit&Run/FleshIsWeak rules. This may indcate that those benefits still work as Codex Chapter Tactics wanted to work.

Not at all. The wording "Iron Hands models" still means "Models with Chapter Tactics(Iron Hands)". Nothing in AoD overrides this definition.

And if you're refering to the +1 to FnP that the IH Formation grants: A) This applies to all models, not just Iron Hands and B) this is an entirely independent rule from Chapter Tactics. It's literally something else.

To the initial question: Yes, anything part of that detachment gains +1 to existing FnP rolls. But you don't benefit from that if you don't have a FnP already.
