Subject: Points on Warscrolls?

I'm aware that points will be listed in the General's Handbook, but will they be listed on the warscrolls in the AoS app? You'd think they would be so GW could keep with the "living" updates theme they've allowed themselves by handing out updatable PDFs for every warscroll. I think restricting points to a printed media would be a step in the wrong direction.

Points will only be listed in the Generals Handbook. They will not be printed on the free warscrolls. So either grab a dead tree version or the digital when it comes out. I cant imagine they wouldn't put it on the AoS app for purchase.

I definitely see that happening for the app.
Anyone else wondering how large the book's gonna be if it has individual points for every model? You think it'll be something a little different than points-per-model?

Its supposedly from the pics that were leaked very simple.
Like x points for y models. (50 pts for 10 models). And if you want 20 models than thats 100 pts. With a unit cap on it.

I think it's smart of GW to do it that way; giving a rough cost to each unit for players to use as a baseline. Leave the precision costing to the comp systems with a year of practice and playtesting behind them already.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.
I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games. |

Yeah, I have heard it's largely SCGT pools with the values x20 so a 100 pool game is now a 2000pt battle, 10 Freeguild Guard go from 4 pools cost to 80 points, equipment and upgrades all free.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-) |

The guys that did SCGT said on the AOS facebook page that its not their system or based on their system and that they were only invited in to review it and give feedback.

Yeah, I should clarify, I meant I had heard it is a fixed points cost per Warscroll with a set number of models (usually the minimum unit size on the Warscroll), much like Clash is and SCGT is - rather than saying it is an official adaptation of SCGT.
I also heard it'll be a big long list, like the pools documents from Clash and SCGT.
I also heard it'll be based on 2000 point games for a standard tourney size, so much like SCGT is similar to Clash (with the points x5 and adapted), this one will be similar to SCGT, but the points values will be about 20x bigger in size.

Now if only GW could make an App like Army Maker so we can buy it and use it. I would pay money for that if it was really good, not the collector one they have in some codices.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?
