I'd like help with building a 1750 maximum Dreadnought list. The faction doesn't matter and I want to limit it to 3 sources but aside from that I'm open to anything; drop pods, units of multiple dreads etc.

Go iron Hands, you can take three venerable dreads in the command slots, take a dread in two Demi companies, and take squads of dreads as auxiliaries. And they all have IWND special rule

Triple Helfist Murderpack gives you army of nothing but 15 Helbrutes.

Or Space Wolves or Blood Angels. Iron Hands would be the best way to go though.

Dreads need support to shine. Invisibility is perfect for squads of them. They probably run best in the medusa strike force. You just need an armored task for to fill the requirements (3 vindicators and a tech marine) the rest of your points can be librarias conclave and units of dreads. I'd for for 2 libby conclvaces on bikes - rolling to get invisibility, warpmetal armor, and shift worldscape. Then take as many assault cannon heavy flamer dreads as you can fit. I'm thinking you could easily get 11 dreads in a 1850 with 6 librarians. In the formation they will have +1 to IWND rolls and will have POTMS when within range of the tech-marine.
