So just for fun, what do you guys think is then most "fantasy" styled 40k army? We probably would all agree necrons and tau are the least fantasy and most scifi of the 40k army's, but what do you think is on the other side of the coin?

Do old armies count? 2nd ed chaos codex had daemon world army list. Daemons, chaos warriors, beastmen, trolls, minotaurs...

Hard to get more fantasy than that

Orks cause well aside from the guns, they're literally the same. Plus orks are pretty much the fantasy enemy yea?

imho.

1: Pure Demon armies, most of their units are just the very same in fantasy and 40k aside very few exceptions
2: Eldar Exodite theme, it's pretty much a cross breed betwen sylvan/sylvaneth with some higher technology on their weapons
3: Orks if you aiming at a pure melee army with lots of boyz and almost no vehicles.

most of 40k armies can bring some kind of thematic variations and get closer as example a black templars army made it such a way their neophites or some members have adorned their armors like Knights from medieval ages (kind of bretonnia knights)

AoS is pure garbage
Kill Primaris, Kill the Primarchs. They don't belong in 40K
40K is fantasy in space, not sci-fi

Inquisition, especially a lot of the old Witchhunters fluff.

On moon miranda.

As noted, probably Daemons because it's literally the same army and characters in both universes.

That said, most of 40k is *very* Fantasy oriented, it's a Fantasy universe with a scifi skin stretched over the top. Even space battles are fought out in, at best, 18th century Age of Sail methods or Antiquity style boarding actions.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.
