Second Attempt: I've revised the list using your guys' feedback.
A friend and I are trying a scenario match that has two rolls, mine involves no HS/Super-heavies but 4 FA

List V.2: 2995pts

Spoiler:
HQ-------
Praetor: Terminator Armor, Digital Lasers, Paragon Blade

Troops-------
Tactical Squad: 20x Tac Marines w/ Chainaxes/BP
Tactical Squad: 20x Tac Marines w/ Chainaxes/BP
Tactical Squad: 20x Tac Marines w/ Bolters + Extra Chainaxes
Support Squad: 5x Marines, Meltas, AA
Support Squad: 5x Marines, Meltas, AA
Elites-------
Apothecarion Detach: 2x Apothecaries, AA
Contemptor Mortis: 2x Kheres
Contemptor Mortis: 2x Kheres
Red Butchers: 9x Butchers, Chainfist/TH on Dev, 8x twin axes
Fast Attack-------
Anvillus Drop Pod
Anvillus Drop Pod
Rampager Squad: 10x Rampagers, 5x Excoriator Chainaxe
Rampager Squad: 10x Rampagers, 5x Excoriator Chainaxe

So a Rampager squad and support squad will go in each Anvillus with Apothecaries. Butchers/Praetor move forward with Tac squads, Contemptors provide fire support.

Is this a good list? Any advice is more than welcome

War Kitten You haven't seen anything yet. Stick around for a few weeks and you'll see some things that'll make you question all you know about life, love, and 40k. Such as a Gargant being beheaded by a flying Battle Barge

Relics are now opponents permission so I would just scrap the trident on the Praetor.

Couple of suggestions:

1. Ditch the Chaplain. You already have 3 troops choices which is what you need for Berserker Assault which gives your units hatred.

2. Make one of the dreads a contemptor mortis and then use the other with dual CC. Maybe make the dual CC one a Contemptor Cortus to save more points?

3. In your 1750 I wouldn't run Cataphractii on your Praetor. It will disallow the unit he is with from sweeping advancing.

4. In your bigger lists you don't need 15 Butchers. Ditch the unit of 5 and grab yourself a chainfist/PF for the devoured for the other unit. Maybe grab yourself a flyer or another support tank with the points you save.

Every unit in your army should have a purpose and specialization. If you are going to have dreads make them choppy or shooty.

Well, i'd consider Angron. Give him a ride with some Rampagers and Kharn. The latter can serve as a bullet Magnet if the enemy fires AP3 weapons. The Butchers need a ride as well. Landraiders are fine but a Spartan would certainly be better.

You're playing world eaters and paying for extra ccws? Can't you give all your tactical marines chainaxes for free? Or is that not a thing any more?

That's a matter of some debate.

Many people see "if they have access to CCW, they may take chainaxes for free" to be extremely straightforward. Have yet to run into a player who thinks free = buy them first.

Well sure, that's straightforward, but that's not how the rule reads.

"...which has access to a chainsword can instead take a chainaxe for free as long as this is appropriately represented..."

Personally I tend to think the RAW supports free chainaxes, but the RAI is probably a swap once you've paid for the chainsword. This is an old debate that's gone around on other forums, and FW has yet to clarify it. Let's not debate it here and muddy the OP's thread.

Hm, I may have to start a poll at some point to see what others think.

Working on it

I feel this on the matter:

-If you replace Bolters with BP/CCW, you can replace those w/ Chain axes for free

-If you add extra CCW's you pay for having the Extra CCW's which is then turned into free Chainaxes.

Think of all CCW as basically chainaxes, you still have to pay to have the extra, but it's free to switch.

That seems the most "RAI" to me.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

That's my take on it too and I play World Eaters.

Ed

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Looks quite good. I'd consider the Primarch next time.

I would put an aphoth in each 20manish squad for the 5+ FNP.. 60pts for 5=FNP, aug scan and 2+ save. not a bad deal.

Definitely encourage apothecaries - if I remember right, apothecaries in a world eaters army have an ability to trigger and give you extra attacks? Might be tied to a particular rite of war.....

Nope, just something they can do. They can decide to give their entire unit +1 attack for the phase, but then you have to roll a die for each model affected. On a 1 the model dies, no saves allowed (though technically fnp is as it's not a save). However it doesn't affect characters.

I will, there is no LoW allowed in the scenario though
