Beastmen are all absorbed by chaos and not really thier own army any more, ogres have a small amount of models so my question is are these two armies going to be destroyed just like the bretonians?

I would think they're safe. In fact Beastmen got some new models in Silver Tower that will likely be expanded upon later.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-) |

All you currently see now is safe anything in the grand alliance book is safe. Tomb kings and Bret's were not lucky.

If a faction were going to be discontinued, it would have been when the Grand Alliance book that they are in was released. Ogors and Beastmen are not being discontinued any time soon.

Beastmen always have been a part of Chaos. You can still use them as a separate force so they're just as much their own army as they ever were. Daemons have also been absorbed into chaos the same way as Beastman but you don't mention them in your first post?
And Ogres actually have a couple of new units in the General's Handbook (not sure if they're new models or just new builds of existing models) so I doubt they're going anywhere.

But yet have points and can still be used. They are not squatted and are not gone. Will new things be added for them eventually? I don't see so, but still not so lucky? There are still around and can be used so at least nothing to worry about.

Yeah sadly I don't think anything new will be added. Maybe later, but I wouldn't count on it. Only thing is, no need to be worried they can't be used is all I can say. Sucks you may not be able to buy new things from GW for the. Only option can be is second hand now. Still no worries of they can't be used like Squats. They are not squatted, just not getting new stuff. Or think of it as if they are like Dark Eldar, Necrons (of old) or Sisters of Battles that can still be used but had to wait over 10 years before anything new came out for them.

@ OP I think they;re fine. TK and Brets got insanely good in Matched PLay as they are undercosted quite a bit. The Beastmen (Warherds) got much stronger imo since you can forget core and take allegiance to specialize. So, all minotaurs for example. It's a diff mindset and think about what "good" means to you. As far as models, yeah, Silver Tower has those Tzangors and I know I'm not alone in thinking that's a new line of supported beasties coming.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some aspects of the Brets and tomb kings come back under different names in the future. Most of the new armies for AoS so far have been evolutions or expansions of parts of the old WHFB armies.

There is a blurb in one of the recent books which is clearly talking about Tomb Kings, but calls them "The Obsidian Empire", so I fully suspect one day we'll see them again. There's fluff about Ogors accidentally stumbling across their domain and getting crushed.

Settra has not gotten his moment yet...he will. As far as Brets, who knows what they'll do but given past year, I trust them to make whatever it is awesome.

Beastmen and ogors are definitely safe. The Ogors get fluff mentions, are in the novels and are are in the destruction alliance book. They also worship both GorkaMorka and the great maw, the latter able to open portals between realms for them. So literally nothing stops their hunger.
Wouldn't be surprised at a reboot of the two legacy armies. The tomb kings get their mention as VeteranNoob said and between the Azyrheim Lancehost, Flesh-Eater court's memories/madness, royal families and duchies mentioned in the Stormcast's pasts and the unknown fate of Lileath's haven, there's more than enough room for a force of chivalrous crusaders.
We'll just have to wait and see, though.

Ogors (Beastclaw specifically) have a release coming up; there are some pointed-costed units in the General's Handbook for which no warscroll currently exists, and also a number of name changes.

I know linking them to the Stormcast would cause a few internet rage storms. But there auxiliary chamber could be a good fit for an army of crusading mortals that use lance, bow and sword instead of the black powder tech of the freeguilds and Ironweld.
