Well, what I'm trying to do is in subject line, and I was wondering two things. First, are the sponson weapons placed high enough to shoot over the line? And if not would it be possible to space the line sections so the side weapons have openings? Second, would the predator be able to use a comms relay? The text of the book says that "Any play er with an unengaged model within 2" of a comms relay can re-roll Reserves rolls" so I think it would work, just want to make sure.

1) I think so. The walls don't cover a basic infantry unit entirely.
2) Of course.

When you say "think so" do you mean it will or will not be able to shoot over the line?

The comms relay can be any model, but a gun emplacement must be non vehicle.

I said 'I think so' because there's no Predator around here, so I can't 100% say its sponsors will be above the top live of an Aegis. Maybe pictures in the internet will tell you that. I believe, however, that they are. Aegis line is pretty short.

Also depends on where on the line you are shooting from.

You should be able to shoot over the low points in the wall, but the high ones might be a little much.

IIRC, you can't leave gaps in the Aegis Defense Line since it states that the walls must all be connected to at least one other section of ADL.

The high points on the wall will block line of sight, but only a little since there are also windows there to shoot out of.

Mine are magnetized, (so their height might be slightly off) but they aim right through to holes.

Just checked my own, and noted the same.

Also magnetized, so might be slightly off.
