Vrak’s Unending Host Detachment (1500 pts)
-HQ- (100 pts)
Renegade Command Squad
+ Master of the Horde
+ Covenant Of Nurgle
+ Refractor Shield
+ Autocannon
-TROOPS- (900 pts)
2x Renegade Infantry Platoons (345 pts each)
Each platoon consists of 3x of the following:
20 Renegades
+ Militia Training
+ Renegade Champion with Meltabomb
+ 4 Meltaguns
(So a total of 120 dudes, 24 Meltaguns and 6 Meltabombs)
3x Plague Zombie Mobs
Each Zombie Mob consists of 20 Zombies.
(So 60 Zombies)
-LORD OF WAR- (500 pts)
Renegade Baneblade
+ Militia Training
So the army will consists of Warlord, Baneblade, 124 dudes and 60 zombies. Which should be alot in 1500 pts matches.
The main strategy is to surround the baneblade with infantry squads (atleast on the front, depends if enemy can deepstrike or not) to both give it a +3 cover save and to give zealot and fearless to (almost) the entire army. Warlord goes with one of the zombie mobs for protection (so he can stay safely with the army if i should roll the warlord trait that gives me VP when one of the infantry squads dies on a +5), while the disciples from the HQ squad and the two other zombie squads hold objectives (if possible) while the rest of the army advances forward.
I think this should be a decently powerful list, as long as the baneblade survives (and it should be quite tough to take down when it has a +3 cover save), alot of the army will be fearless, the baneblade will shoot some apocalyptic blasts, and i have acess to alot of melta, and i can easily sacrifice units to distract big units like wraithknights and the like.
Any tips how to improve and/or tactics how to play this list as effectively as possible would be appreciated.
