Hello all. Recently, thanks to the help some nice people on this forum, I decided to dive into LotR. I've always loved the movies and books, and the chance to bring another love, wargaming, into this setting was too good to pass up, especially after hearing that GW is going to start supporting the game again.

Therefore, I picked up some used orcs on ebay to start my warband. I may have gone a little too far, however, considering I now have around 40 orcs.

The purpose of this thread is to just get some feedback from the community and hopefully motivate me to paint.

First up, here's a shot of the army so far.

This pic is actually a bit outdated, as I have built up some of their bases with cork to add some variety to the poses. The current list is:
12 orcs with swords
12 orcs with spears
9 orcs with bows
9 orcs with 2 handed weapons
Orc with banner
3 captains

I also made a slight conversion with an extra spearman.

The idea is to hopefully portray an orc right after being hit by a Rohan throwing spear. I know that the spear is a bit thick, but it was the best I could do with the tools I had. Hopefully it looks decent enough.

Would love to have some feedback and constructive criticism on what I've done and what I could do next.
I am planning to add a shaman and 2 trolls in the future for some hitting power. But first I have to actually put some paint on what I have now!
