The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I'm the opposite, Cage will probably get a miss from me unless I hear rave reviews as I didn't like what I saw of him in the few episodes of Jessica Jones I managed to sit through, but Iron Fist I can't wait for.
I do think they need to go full comic with IF sooner rather than later though, unlike Daredevil and Punisher where we only get them fully realised in the last 15 minutes or so of S1 and 2 respectively. Not saying we need green and yellow spandex, but I think he needs to get a handle on his powers and get to the superheroics quite quickly... I shall also be disappointed if he doesn't have to punch the heart out of an actual dragon to get his powers, as per the comic. A magic/psychic projection of a dragon I'll take, but there needs to be one!
Automatically Appended Next Post: And for the sake of completion, the Defenders teaser, although there's really nothing in this:

I am honestly so excited for the soundtrack for Luke Cage. I never thought I would hear Ol' Dirty Bastard being used in the trailer for a Marvel production They used Nas in the earlier teaser as well. At the rate it's going the music selection is going to be amazing.

I am excited to see where these go. Netflix has done a great job on previous marvel properties, so I expect these to be decent. Plus, it is always fun when I don't know too much about the source materials unlike the bigger Marvel shows.
One concern I have for Luke cage, is the threat going to be big enough? He is a pretty tough dude, and a bunch of gangsters can not challenge him. However, if done right the threat to those around him and the moral dilemmas it causes could be really cool.
