Hey all,

I am getting into Age of Sigmar and have the main box set as well as a copy of the generals handbook on the way.

I am starting off at 1000pts and will build up slowly from there.

I have a question though for fleshing out my Khorne Bloodbound reavers and that is should I have 4 units of 10 reavers or two units of 20?

As I said I have the boxset and I ordered the Khorne Bloodbound expansion boxset which I am going to use the 20 reavers from that to flesh out my force.

Any help is greatly appreciated

They are fodder so treat them as such. Depending on scenario or game conditions.

Stick them around a totem and Priest. Stoker as well for good results.

Their issue is survivability but with the Bloodsecrator they can stick around in large numbers. I would probably run 2x20 or 1x20 and 2x10. 20 dudes have trouble getting all their attacks but if they are I breakable then they can clog up your opponents line. They are fodder though, don't expect much of them.

Awesome thanks for the replies. I may run them as 4 units of 10 which I can bolster later. I just wonder if 20 will be too large to function well and get their attacks in.

I will have a blood secrator and a blood stoker in the army as well so they should do some work as a tar pit unit

If you are playing Generals Handbook, Bloodreavers are battleline which is nice. They also don't need to be in big units to be effective.

Couple of things I would say from my experience of playing with and against them:

- They absolutely require a Bloodsecrator to work. The +2 attack within 12" of a set up Bloodsecrator plus immunity to battleshock is key for both doing decent damage and surviving more than one round of combat.
- They are glass cannons. They are quick and with support put out quite a bit of damage, but with no save (so can never have a save) and average bravery they both die in droves and run away in droves.
- Give them meat ripper axes. Unless everybody you play against fields lots of models with no save, rend -1 is more useful than re-roll 1's to hit.
- They will die. Just accept it and move on

Thanks for the reply, I am thinking about doing two units of 10 with the axes and then the two units you get with the main starter.

Eventually I want to get enough were I can do blocks of 20 each but at this point four multiple small units should be fine.

I do expect them to die in droves but I figure I would push them forward then follow them up with unit of blood warriors.
