More interested in the narrative overall, but as I'm playing a GT in Michigan this October I'm looking for some opinions on fine tuning some Slaanesh and also general critiques

I'll put the 3 list options below.

Here is what I'm debating swapping.

List 1: Run 2 chaos sorcerers so I can mystic shield and cast Daemonic Power (reroll 1s to hit, wound and save) both on the unit of 20 Hellstriders....this list also gets an extra unit on 5 Hellstriders, mainly for the 6 inch -1 to hit enrapturing banner

List 2: Take out a unit of 5 Hellstriders and add 2 Heralds of Slaanesh.

List 3: remove 1 chaos sorcerer and a unit of 5 Hellstriders then add a Chaos Daemon and Masque of Slaanesh in their place. In this one the Keeper of Secrets would Mystic shield the Hellstriders.

Thanks in advance for all the opinions

P.S. Lord of Slaanesh on Daemonic Mount is the general and will use the command ability on said Hellstriders to attack twice in one turn. ....they're the focal point if you haven't noticed

Personally, I really like list #1 ... that Hellrider unit with the spell boost would be really nasty.

My observation with Daemon infantry units is to go with fewer but bigger units - ie. 1x unit of 20 rather than 2x units of 10.

They die in droves if hit by high damage output units so keeps the units in the fight longer.

Make sure your Hellrider unit doesn't outpace the spell casters.

With 3 spell casters, you have some redundancy too, if one if killed you can still cast both spells on the Hellriders.

First off, defiantly take the command trait for +1 to unpredictable destruction. When you pile in and attack twice you get to roll both times... and it will stack!

Secondly, have you considered Fiends of Slaanesh? They are -1 to hit in melee just for showing up so if you put them near your hellstriders that means your opponent is -2.

Finally, go with the two sorcerer option. I run a Slaanesh army with a big Hellstrider unit and having two sorcerers means they almost always get at least one buff, which they really need since they can so easily fail to do much without.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Yeah, list #1 agreed most with my gut.

You're definitely right that the daemonettes are weak with such low numbers. Just used the minimum for requirements because I don't like the current GW Daemonettes...I have 20 Juan Diaz Daemonettes and am trying to scrape together another 10 before the GT. They're so pricey though.

Considering putting the sorcerers on steeds so they can keep pace.

I would love to field some fiends, great synergy with the Hellstriders for sure...waiting for my tgg2 fiends (lust elf centaurs) to arrive. ...could be awhile

+1 to unpredictable destruction or Lord of war would do well to buff the striders.

Just found out my tgg2 Daemonettes (Mantis warriors) will arrive in time.

Attached a list with them. Do you think it's worth dropping the war mammoth for 20 more daemonettes and a Masque (or 5 more hellstriders)????
