Hey guys, I seen this position posted a while ago... it may even be still up. Any idea how much these guys get paid? Im guessing it per project but anyone have an example?

If they're freelance, it will most likely be done on a project by project basis, probably on an hourly wage like most freelancing jobs have. Also, as freelancers, they would likely not have access to regular employee benefits.

Ya I figured no benefits, was just curious if someone did it and the amount GW paid.

How much you're paid as a freelancer can vary wildly depending on the job. I'm guessing someone who's hired to write a short story piece in a codex isn't going to be paid the same as someone who painted the cover art on the book. Even the same job can vary in cost as well, and some artists are better negotiators than others.

That said, I've never applied to GW and the Freelance Jobs I've had all came in somewhat less than average pay (not minimum wage! Average. Like a regular 9-5 job) so I would guess it's slightly higher than that.

The hourly wage for a graphic designer can range anywhere from 75 to 500 dollars per hour of work.

I highly doubt either extreme is true, but unless you are top tier talent, you aren't going to be anywhere near the top of that scale. For GW blind-hiring artists, I would probably put you in the 150-200 range, hourly. All conjecture from me of course.

For those kind of figures I've only heard of for really big productions (like movie concept art and whatnot). I really doubt GW would pay that much, especially since the books don't even credit you.

I usually just give a quote and the client gets 3 revisions. How many hours that actually takes me can vary wildly.
