Hey, I'm new here! I have this paint + primer from krylon and I was wondering if its okay to prime minis! https://mcneelys.doitbest.com/products/dual-spray-paint-and-primer

I test primed a nob from AoBR and it looks a little grainy, but I am a novice painter. Help appreciated!

*EDIT* I just wanna know if I can use this for some minis. I plan on getting black too, for Iron Hands priming and other black/dark minis

would say no.
Rust protection usually means thick, as does gloss. I'd expect loss of detail and possible melting.

I just started using a can of (cheap) grey car plastics spray primer (Halfords in the uk, about a fiver for a 300ml can) and the coverage is fantastic and gives a great surface to paint on. With GW primers I'm having to coat the miniatures in multiple passes, then fill in the gaps and all the missed bits later. this stuff coated the mini's fully with one quick spray from the back and one from the front... Was dry in about 15 mins as well.

I wouldn't use it but I think Krylon has an actual paint+primer spray. Not sure how well it works, haven't used it, but I've seen people with successful stories and unsuccessful.
