Reasoning that the name is being used in a quite literal sense as most harlequin performances are:

At the end time's when Cegorach faces Slaneesh and the Big E manhandles the other's, on the very verge of defeat, Slaneesh monologues his/her victory and the sensation of it... Cegorach quite literally makes the Jest at the last second
"Its unfortunate you will never know the sensation of ultimate defeat"
Its too much for the God of excess and having to know every sensation and she can't even.
Slaneesh allows/destroys him/herself

Gotta go with reaching. It's already been stated that the ultimate jest, was not defeating Slaanesh, but Slaanesh saving the Eldar.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

That's the same thing tho, allowing yourself to be defeated to experience the sensation of defeat. Which means the eldar live, hence they are saved.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Cegorach is also notorious at making people defeat themselves. So I agree no race will defeat slaneesh. Rather slaneesh defeats himself

The thing about the Chaos gods is that they are emotion made manifest - you can't really "defeat" them. It's one of those parts of the lore that is nearly impossible to get around because it's such a fundamental aspect of both the Warp and the Ruinous Powers. As long as there are races in the universe that feel passion, hatred, anger, bloodlust, etc, the gods will endure - weaken, possibly, but endure.

Cegorach could always just trick Gork and Mork into thinking Slaanesh called them grots and thus the Ork gods stop fighting themselves and beat him/her/it up.

Perhaps the final jest to drop a philosophical thought bomb on Slaanesh like "What is sensation?"

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.
