Hi there,
Games Workshop and ForgeWorld sell different versions of the same vehicles (rhinos, predators...). Which version do you prefer ?

I prefer GW for most things but it's hard to go past the Land Raider Achilles and Lucius Pattern (Dreadnaught) Drop Pod.

Sports bikes and Space Wolves look kinda strange, vikings on choppers is just awesome, half a mind to make them leather jackets.

I generally prefer GW's vehicles when it comes to SM stuff. When it comes to Guard... FW wins by a landslide.

Yeah, I prefer the GW's rhino hull too. So, for the predator and the whirlwind, GW wins.
But the outriders are awesome, and I don't like the GW bikes, so it is a big win for FW on this one, for me.
The Ironclad seems better too.

The two Land Raiders are equal to me.

Strictly speaking, most of the ones that overlap are FW revisiting old GW designs anyway.

FW makes the superior IG vehicles, for sure

What do you mean by "durable" ? Are you implying that my expensive FW kits are going to fall apart ?!

The vehicles are rather solid, I've found.

The only thing I don't like about Forgeworld vehicles is that I have to bend them back into shape in hot water.

It is difficult to say because I like both and they do different things.

40k SM bikes are like small tanks and that alone makes them awesome. They look like they could smash through concrete walls with nary a glance.

FW bikes are more sleek and techy. Fits 30k better due to that more advanced era.

GW plastic > FW resin. GW plastic vehicles are build like a brick, easy to build, simple to buy and mixing it up with other plastic works perfectly. FW resin is interesting, it looks good, but they are not easy to buy, expensive, brittle and don't mix well with plastic conversion bits. Dropping a rhino GW just isn't the same as dropping a FW Tank.

This isn't a question really. GW rules suck, FW rules are not bad at all.

So I would love to play GW model materials with FW rules.
Orks are one of those armies that can sort off pull this off by doing some extensive conversions.
Space marines can sort off pull it off with Calth.
