Hi, I've recently bought ghoulish host and two start collecting flesh eater courts.
I've build from them one Terrorgheist and one Zombie Dragon and now I'm with one left and don't know which should I build.
I like to run Crypt Horrors heavy so I was wandering which choice is best suited for me?

I would say it depends on your opponents army. I rather go for the Zombie Dragon if I play Seraphon, Death or some other high bravery army as the Death Shriek kan be very hard to use against such armies.

I do like the Terrorgheist more though, mainly for it's looks. But since I'm usually playing Seraphon it's not as effective as it could be.

Zombie Dragon for heros, Terrorgheist for monster mayhem.

Terrorgheists do more damage.

Terrorgeists win, especially if you take a Screaming Skull Catapult. When a Bravery 8 model (IE on the high side) is taking, essentially D6 auto-mortal-wounds... you're getting a lot of value out of a pretty durable platform.

Has anyone playtested Terrorgheists with Screaming Skull Catapults? It looks really good on paper but I'm afraid that it might not be so effective in a battle.

Can Flesh eater Courts even take a Screaming Skull Catapult? Maybe I'm just missing something, likely some Grand Alliance kind of thing, but I know the Screaming Skull Catapult isn't in the FEC Battletome.

Anyways I am preferential to the Terrorgheist because I think it looks better, and in combat it's brutal as hell. But I have not tried the Zombie Dragon as I don't have one yet.

Yes you can take anything from the Death faction in Flesh Eater Courts, you'd just lose the Flesh Eaters allegiance.

You may lose battleline status on something and you can't choose the flesh eaters sub faction command traits (which they don't have any)

So really the only negative is if you have a battleline troop you'd lose.

Don't mean to be grave digging this but has anyone noticed that the rules for Death Shriek on the GW unit page say it gets +6 but the actual PDF for Vampire Counts says its 3 dice compared to bravery ?! , which one do I use if I am bringing it as part of a Death Alliance mixed with Tomb Kings ?!

Several of the units in the Compendiums were updated when their warscrolls were posted with the modelsin the online store. Its covered in the FAQ:

Q: If I have two different warscrolls for the same unit, can I choose which to use, or must I use the most recently published version?

A: You can choose which warscroll to use, but it may be more convenient for your opponent if you use the most recently published version, especially if the earlier version is no longer readily available.

Thanks Ghaz! looks like I have to revisit some rules, finding disadvantageous changes ...

Honestly I'd consider it poor sport to use an older warscroll because the new one was weaker, especially in a points game.

But anyways, I'd say the Terrorgheist, the death shriek is nice and all but that's just icing on its sheer deadliness in melee.

I do agree, however now I will have to compile all the new PDF's rather than using the compendiums which were posted on the site that I've used on my tablet for many months and have printed them into a neat binder.

Presuming its not too hard I could sit and do all of them together but now I see that Krell got somewhat of a nerf as well, its just a Black Axe hero ... changes are slight but there are some, amour save as well.

Oh well, guess putting lists together has yet again become a long drawn out exercise of not only counting points but also verifying I am not a cheat... glad I noticed it

le sigh....

Do you not have access to the app? It's kept up to date. If not, it would probably be best to buy a copy of the flesh eaters battletome, or failing that the grand alliance death book.

As I noticed after a reply in another topic: the app isn't automatically updated. You need to remove the warscroll and re download it.. and if you don't know if it's been updated you won't update it.

I don't really see why this is a big issue, all it takes is another player going 'oh hey, that warscroll was updated' and then it takes 30 seconds to delete and re-download. Besides after the grand alliance releases the warscrolls have been static unless they are included in a battletome release, so pretty easy to keep track of.

Ow yeah it's easily done...

But it was kinda embarrassing when I said the waywatcher as general was a stupid choice since he didn't have a command ability a few weeks ago.
