Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this one.

I've got 140 points free in my heavy support slot now I've dropped a Wraithlord and I'm thinking about going with Dark Reapers.

Will most likely run them with +1BS (from Aspect Host) but I wondered if any veteran Eldar players could weigh in on a preferred composition for the unit since I've little experience with them and I'm trying to sort my list now rather than later.

Option 1 - 135pts - big gun
4x Reapers
Exarch upgrade
Tempest Launcher

Option 2 - 140pts - more bodies
5x Reapers
Exarch upgrade

Options 3 - 139pts - versatile
4x Reapers (2 with starshot missles)
Exarch upgrade (with starshot missles)

Thanks in advance!

My vote is for the "Versatile" option. Tempest launchers have never impressed me very much, and they can't snap-fire at all. Having the Starshot missiles, OTOH, is very useful: they can cause Instant Death on T4 or less models. This is handy when you see Tyranid Warriors, Crisis Suits, etc, and it also gives them a secondary role hunting vehicles. And, since you can re-roll failed snap shots and ignore Jink, that gives you some emergency AA, too.

Versatile is definitely best. Lets you do more and Tempest Launchers aren't great.

I'd go with versatile but take off a dark reaper and give them all star shot missiles. If you could get points from somewhere else try and run two units of an Exarch and 2 Dark Reapers all with Star shot

The reason why is to maximise the number of Exarchs because of their fast shot making them the most point efficient.

One Exarch with Star shot = 48pts
Two Dark Reapers with Star shot = 66pts

They both have two shots with the Exarch being cheaper and having a higher BS

Versatile build it is!

While two groups would be good, I'm going to continue to persevere with my Swooping Hawks before committing to additional units. I'm determined to get more use out of my 6-man unit

Really apprecait the input chaps!
