...if I already have Wrathmongers? I ask because I just finished assembling my Wrathmongers, and with a modest investment in bitz (legs) and bases, I can build five Skullreapers from the box. I'm just wondering if they still serve a purpose if you've already got Wrathmongers, and you're playing in the 1,500 point range, give or take, or if the points are best spent elsewhere. It seems to me they'd be a solution looking for a problem in smaller games with Wrathmongers, and their 140 pts could be put to better use. Still, it's tempting to be able to make $60 worth of models for about $15, lol.

Despite superficial appearances they serve very different roles. Skullreapers are pretty much generic monstrous infantry with a Khorne flair, while Wrathmongers are unique specialists (for reasons that become abundantly clear when they start dieing...).

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Wrathmongers are amazing. Especially when combo'd near your own big monsters or when thrown into theirs. They are ALWAYS a threat. Put on next to skarbrand and his 8 wound axe gets another swing... shenanigans like that. Or throw one in against a group of morghast archai and watch them kill each other.

Skullreapers are quite dangerous as well, getting stronger while killing, and getting stronger while dying (The amount to double gets lower as models die and all that), while being threatening just upon the chance to add mortal wounds on death to the enemy, and unlike most it's not restricted to 1" range.
