Finally I got my Icewind Assault boxset and Battletome. I opened up my box and as so disappointed that the books were not flat at all. I thought something was iffy when the box wasn't fully closed and was partially opened. Both books the smaller one and the bigger one is pretty puffy or bowed. If I lie it flat on the table you can see the pages open up cured where at the end of the spine the book raises about an inch or two off the table instead of being totally flat like I always get when I buy GW other boxsets. It wasn't even shrieked wrapped like other GW products. So I was surprised by this as well.

I am just wondering if this is normal. Did anyone else get an Icewind Assault boxset. Were your books shrink wrapped? I guess this is nothing major, since there is no rips or what not in the books, but still paying a premium price you expect a premium product.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Yes they are VeteranNoob. I will call them since I like talking to a live person.

Funny enough it was them where I got the Premium product from. So when I had an issue with a Finecast Zoanthrope I just called to let them now about a quality issue that the small tail fins were no good. I didn't ask for anything. The customer service person wanted to correct it for me and gave me another Zoanthrope. I said no it's ok but they sent one.

Will let them know about this. After all they said premium price for a premium product.

I just hope nothing is missing. Not filmier with these guys so wouldn't even know if anything was missing or not. I will go to the GW website and see if the sprue are on there or not and double check.

Folks can bitch about GW all day but their cust service for all three branches is stellar. So is the response when you send requests or customer feedback directly in to be passed on to the appropriate person...for those who do

Hope you get those frosty ogres ready right quick!

I too can vouch for their excellence in customer service. Even via email they have been absolutely pro. Even rerouted a package for me since I was on vacation!

It could be just a reaction to the temperature or humidity. Bowed covers have happened to me when I leave my books in the car during the summer. It goes away after a while.

The Icewind Assault box does not come with particularly special 'books', they're just the build instructions for the Stonehorn/Thundertusk and Mournfang Pack. They're not shrink wrapped.

The only boxes I've seen with shrink wrapped books have been the stand alone games such as Silver Tower and Betrayal at Calth. The Icewind box is just a collection of minis to use in AoS.

Holy Terra.

It may have been opened my customs. I had to pay an extra 30$ on a Forge World order, and they had opened all the MK VI clam packs and just left them loose in the package.

This was the swiss postal service, voted best in europe.
