There is no real trick to this list other than just trying to overwhelm the opponent as soon as possible and cause as many wounds as possible and heavily dependent on Manfred's command ability.
Leaders
Manfred Mortarch
Ghoul King on terrorgheist
Battleline
10 zombies
10 zombies
10 zombies
Other units
3 spirit hosts
6 necropolis knights
Behemoth
mortis engine
Warmachine
Screaming skull
Summoning saved for 120 points
The list is very dependent on Manfred's command ability, the zombies will combine first turn into a giant 30 man brick, spirit hosts and necropolis knights will act as flankers and screaming skull catapult can help both the mortis engine and the terrorgheist.

It seems like the Ghoul King isn't needed as much as more line troops, why not run the Terrorgheist by itself?

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page
I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.
I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games. |

Ghoul king is there as another caster, that can either rebuild the necropolis knights, or catapult.
Also for missions that heroes need to hold objectives helps, and I am just not impressed with generic death battleline units.

I've seen batreps from doom and darkness that really demonstrate the greatness that skeleton horseman (TK entry) can offer mixed death forces as battleline.

I never thought of looking at the TK battleline units, was thinking of only vampire ones. Though may be a little difficult to find any TK horsemen now.

I'd actually suggest TK Chariots as I do think, for their price, they are the best Death Battleline option outside of taking large blobs. Thanks to their icon, even a modest 3-man unit will hold an objective longer than they reasonably should. Plus they're insanely good at receiving buffs from many TK Command abilities, and several general Death ones.
