I'm wondering if some of the more video game inclined among you might have some suggestions. I'm looking for some decent action games for the phone, preferably free and that are easy to control. One of my biggest complaints (aside from the plethora of garbage games) is that I find the touch screen to be one of the worst ways to play a video game. I'm looking for something simple and easy to play that I can kill time with. I've got Freeblade, which I actually like, but the game is a serious drain on my phone's battery. Any of you have any recommendations?

The kingdom rush series are a good choice, the best mobile tower defence games that I have played anyway. They aren't free but they are cheap.

Marvel Avengers Alliance 2 is pretty fun, a bit on the short on content side but it just got released this year., there's also not much incentive to pay either unless you want to levelup your heroes.

Not action, but the Futurama-skinned Candy Crush clone is fething GREAT.
I think Futurama is the greatest show on television though, so I may be slightly biased.

Kingdom Rush games are probably what I've be gotten the most mileage from.
"The Room" games are fun little puzzlers.
Plants vs. Zombies 1 and 2 were pretty fun.
Can't recall which, if any, of these games were free.

Take a look at Tales of Link, if you're a "Tales of" fan (Symphonia, Phantasia, Legendia, Destiny, Vesperia etc). Its a f2p game and its available for both android and iOs.

If you like tower defense style games, I highly recommend "Bloons" on ninjakiwi.com They have other types of games, but I'm just there for the bloons. it's a free site and you're not disadvantaged for not paying for stuff in the PVP games.

Plague Inc is my go to mobile game when I am traveling for work. Awesome strategy game now with user-created scenarios.

I'm playing Pathfinder Adventures. I never played the actual card game, only the table top rpg. But being developed by Obsidian, it's a pretty solid game. It still uses the freemium market, but you can play the game without having to actually buy stuff. So for pretty good.

I've been addicted to Metal Slug Defense for a few days now. Really fun game that's a huge bonus to Metal Slug fans and Imperial guard fans. (Try not to feel like a imperium general when sending waves of rebel soldiers and tanks at the enemy base, I dare you. )
Just avoid the pc version, I think it still needs actual money to purchase units at the shop instead of in-game medals that the mobile version uses.

Horus Heresy: Drop Assault is fun. Especially since they've added characters.
BFG:L is great too. A perfect digital version BFG... just limited to Imperial Navy, Marines and Tyranids.
