Got an email from the-outpost saying that they can't fulfill my order as they're not able to get a second batch of Death Masques from GW. It's listed as temporarily out of stock on the UK GW site. Assuming both those things are accurate, I guess stocks are limited, there are no plans for a second print run, and GW are saving any remaining copies to sell themselves.

I expected nothing different, was the same with the Space Wolves/Orcs and Blood Angels/Tyranids sets.

Yeah, this has gone OOP very rapidly, though! I ordered my copy about a week after release, and now won't get it.
You would have thought GW would have learned to print enough for at least a few months of sales.

Available in USA.
Yeah, like Space Hulk and other boxes, expect it to vanish.
Ebay is a good choice. I bought the Deathwatch minis & rulebook & supp for $75.
GW is now selling the minis from the box set seperate, which is a good indication the Masque was a limited production.
Check your local GW store.

Or you could conclude 'reprinting' given the same information. No stock available and GW stores says 'temporarily out of stock', not sold out. Not saying you're wrong, just saying you've made a leap of logic.
If not, I'd imagine GW will be happy there's been quite the run on it, a whole bunch of money has been made on up-selling additional Harlequin sprues you all wouldn't have bought, and they're not sat on much stock. Quite the win for them. ;-)

No, the-outpost are not able to get any more, ever. From the email:
"Despite the previous information we were given, Death Masque is not being produced any longer.
We were informed previously that the product was to be restocked in September. As of this afternoon we have been informed this is not the case."

Why? If they did that people wouldn't freak out in not be able to get a copy and make impulse purchases right away. This is done on purpose to also create a false sense of supply and demand when GW on purposely doesn't make enough supply to fulfil the demand and therefore so much more impulse buys are made.
GW is still relying on impulse buys instead of actually making a good product. (rules wise, not mini wise.)
This could be another reason why GW is making less money last fiscal year. Only making 1000s of copies and limited edition runs how are you going to make millions when only selling a 1000 of something? I guess impulse purchases actually work and make more money than making lots of stock and selling it over years instead of weeks.

Plus it works better for them as they keep churning out box sets or new big releases/games. Really we all know when something is coming a month or more from "rumors" so if its interesting, best bet is to grab it ASAP.
The fact that Betrayal of Calth is still for sale is astounding to me. Picked up 2 sets to finally get into 30k. Thought none would be around.

I think BaC will continue to exist *because* it is a gateway to 30k. Now, if another 30k set from GW comes out, I'd be concerned about its future.
Well, I've been wanting either BaC or Overwatch, now it's time to make a decision about which direction I should go before I lose one option entirely! Hmmm...

I grabbed a death masque. If they aren't redoing it just the harlies are worth it and I want them for some kill team stuff. It's a hell of a box set with the deathwatch stuff added in even before the plastic characters.

This conflicts with the 90 day cycle policy. Supposedly they were no longer doing "while supply last" runs on product.(excepting numbered books etc and celebratory one offs) The product was supposed to be available for a full 90 days and then extended or let go based on its sales figures. I wonder what changed? Well get em while they last/if you can I guess.

I had the chance to have a nice long discussion with some people from the UK HQ only a few weeks after IK:Renegade was released. One of the things I was told back then was that, at that point in time, BaC was already no longer being produced and GW was just selling their remaining stocks.
So I wouldn't be that optimistic when it comes to BaC long term availability.
Regarding Death Masque I don't know about the UK version (it's still available on our order forms, but it may be a mistake from GW), but for the French one I was told there would be a single print and nothing else. This is different from IK:R when I was told they would sell them over a set period of time and only then they would let their stocks run dry.

I was able to pick one up from a firm I didn't even know existed till I went searching -- Weekend Warlords. None of my usual shops had it (Gifts for Geeks, Dark Sphere, Element, Triple Helix, Wayland). Weekend Warlords had 1 copy in stock, which I ordered.
