Greetings!
Considering that GW is pretty much begging us to add our own rules within our own gaming groups I would like to hear what you have added and if there are homebrewed rules that you find have improved the game even further!
In our group we are considering re-working magic and especially rule of one and summoning. Not sure how to do that, anyone added anything to magic in their own gaming groups?

Measure from the base.
If you don't have enough models to make a minimum unit you pay full points, but every model in that unit has a banner, trumpet, ect no wysiwyg required.

Nice!
Measure from the base is something we did first game. Too used to 40K to change that habit.

Like others have said, measure from base. No rolling for initiative in every combat phase. If it's your combat phase, you go first. Summoning comes from your total points, not in addition to. Pro rating model cost for units below min.

Been using PPC for a bit over a year now, provides (balanced!) points along with several standard house rules. We usually ignore rolled initiative as well, doing it like WHFB instead (basically roll for initiative first round then alternate after that, player who finished deployment first gets +1 to the roll).

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page
I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.
I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games. |

Since I don't have a clue how Fantasy worked at all, I was thinking if I could ever get a group to play AoS some house rules would be that if you put your units in formation like something in Fantasy you get some bonuses.
Maybe a bonus to defend or a movement bonus if you move straight like marching or what ever we can think of. So this way if someone wants to put their units in blocks they can and have a benefit for doing so.
But first I need to get some people to play with first before I go to home rules.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?
