This is pretty exciting, I wonder what platforms this is going to be. If it hits Steam then I am sold faster than you can say "Sonic:Heroes was Revolutionary For Its Time".

Looks like PC, PS4 and Xbox One. No set release date other than sometime 2017.

While not a fan of Sonic, the original game has been part of my youth and it certainly looks like they nailed it, right down to the music.

They just need someone a bit better to play through it.

At first I thought it was another port of one of the good ones, until I saw newer stuff I didn't remember that. I see that as a good thing.

I agree it needs someone who isn't playing Sonic The Tourist though.

Is this a remix of 1 & 2 or what? Looks fun, but I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it, given how frequently Sonic 1, 2, & 3 have been ported to other systems

I don't get hyped for games these days.

Do not fall for the Sonic Cycle. I've fallen prey to it many a time before. Sega is great at making trailers, so be wary.

That being said, I'm definitely cautiously optimistic. With the exception of Boom, they've been doing decently in the past few years. Generations was great, Colors was absolutely fantastic, and Lost World was actually pretty okay. I'm just being cautious, is all.
