So after years of Games Workshop I finally tried an alternative. Not through any dislike for GW but because I came across the Infinity models. Instantly I was hooked. The aesthetic, the proportions and the factions all appealed to me.

After spending hours pouring over the models online I decided the best value for money would be to pick up the Operation Icestorm starter set and then add models to that. Anyone who has followed my blogs before will know that I'm all about fluff so they had to be Sectorial Lists.

Therefore I will be creating a Nomads Corregidor force and a Shock Army of Acontecimento Pan O force. I have already bought all the models necessary including some proxies from other minature ranges. As ever I will be operating under the rule of cool rather than what plays well.

As an added bonus my girlfriend was so impressed by the models that we have started playing games of Inifinity. So for the first time in 5 years I will be able to use the models I am painting!

Assembling metal models again after so many years is a challenge! I had to purchase a hand drill and learn to hold models whilst the glue dries allover again. The models themselves are a painters delight. Each is covered in details (smaller than GW) and the dynamic poses lead to great results.

First up finished are the 3 members of the Corregidor Alguacile. I have stuck to the red, black and white scheme but tried to add my own variation. I am fairly happy with all three except the face on the woman. She looks like she has put her makeup on using a paint gun. But, you live and learn. Looking at the pictues they need busier bases so I mmay update these photos later.

Next up is the 3 members of the Shock Army...

I intend to collect one of each Infinity Sectorials in the future so watch this space.

I like them! Welcome to INFINITY. Super cool game, with veven cooler models Your Models look real nice! I personally like the bases as they are. If any bit of advice i can add, is that i found that trying to paint infinity the way id paint GW models to be counter intuitive and i had to adapt to suit the sculpts of the mini, being tiny and extremely detailed. Of course, whatever works best for you. have fun welcome to the small but mighty infinity club.

Interesting color scheme. It works well. Make-up applied with a shotgun was a Homer Simpson invention, IIRC. Back in the day when The Simpsons were still funny.

And yay! another painter of Infinity miniatures hereabouts

Paintjobs like this make me want to start that game... and remind me of my own lowly skills. Neat, clean and recognizable paint scheme, very well done!

Thanks Bebopdrums, loving Infinity so far. Although the Nisse is becoming a serious pain in my ass.

Red Harvest, I definitately stole that from the simpsons. I usually hate copying the standard colour schemes but it's been so long since I painted red it was worth changing.

Wirecat, bite the bullet. Get into Inifinity you wont regret it.

So after finishing my 3 line troopers it was time to turn my attention to the Pan O line troops before getting distracted by the big boys. As I stated previously I wanted to make all my forces sectorial so I opted to paint them in the style of the Shock Army of Acontecimento (googles to check spelling). Green is always a great colour to paint with and rather annoyingly my girlfriends army is turning out better looking than my own. Really happy with this paint scheme. I used multiple brown washes to get the mud effect. Whereas my female soldier looks like a crack fiend heroine addict, the pan O girl is probably the best face I've ever painted. Go figure.

Hope you enjoy them.

Progress has continued on my Infinity forces. I have focused more in my Nomads force over the past few weeks.

First up is the Mobile Brigada. Pretty much always my lieutenant choice and performs well in most games against the Pan O scum.

Annoyingly the pic is a bit blurred so I'll retake it next time I set up for photos but you get the idea. One of my favourite models in the Boxset.

As I am going for a Corregidor Sectorial Army list I have converted the Spectre into a Bandit I did this by simply giving him the Grenzer cloak and using green stuff to give him a hood. I think it looks effective enough. I tried copying Angels digital camo for the cloak but lack even 5% of his skills so abandoned the effort in shame. Still looks good enough on the table top. Still to get him into CC in the game which is frustrating but his ability to pick up dropped HMG's is useful.

Without his cloak the Grenzer was free to become an Intruder. I painted a skull onto his mask simply because it looks bad ass. He in usually my MVP in games and I will be making more Intruders as soon as possible.

Here is a group shot of my Nomads Corregidor Force so far. Next up is the Iguana TAG...

Finally I have painted the Orc for the Acontecimento Oceana force. I painted an orc face onto his mask after seeing it on the latest Infinity news conference. The father Knight is mostly done but there is something not right about the paint scheme yet so I will reveal him next time.

Interesting choice of colours, but looks very good with a bit of edge highlight. Freehand is also helping to give troopers some more distinction. For a short time I've thought You've painted a Hello Kitty on that Orc!
