Hello!
I am slowly building up a mixed mortal and demon nurgle army.
I am also building a mortal nurgle army but I got derailed by the thought of this army so I could not help myself
This army will be great against horde armys and not so great against elite armys, is there any way I could improve the matchup against elite armys? feel free to elaborate on this.

The list:
Glottkin
Epidemius
Demon prince of nurgle
Demon prince of nurgle
Plagueclaw catapult
Plagueclaw catapult
30x Plaguebearers
10x Marauders of nurgle
10x marauders of nurgle
3x plague drones
1980 points.

The idea is to use epidemius buff from turn one via the catapults.
The marauders are there to snag objectives and/or protect catapults + epidemius if there are any deep strike/tunneling stuff going on.
In the case something gets behind the big block of plaguebearers and onto the marauders one of the princes and fly back and help with 12" move.
The princes activates plaguebearers reroll saves of 1 and the drones mortal wounds on 6's.
If I am facing another artillery army I can use the drones + one prince to hunt for their warmachines.
Glott will always try to put +1 wound and +1 save on the plague bearers making them very resilliant.
I will use axes on the princes for the -2 rend.

When fully buffed from epidemius (when the army has killed 21 models) the princes will have 2+ save rerolling 1s to hit and 1s to wound.

Thoughts on something to improve on the list or is this list garbage?

Thank you in advance for all your input!

Regards
/S

This is a good Glott/Epi list. Just remember to keep the Drones within 7" of a daemon hero for their locus and 14" of the Glottkin for their command ability (+3 attacks per drone!), since the effects of those two combined pretty much triple the drone's offensive capability. Note you will almost never get bonuses from Epidemius turn 1, since benefits of the tally only ever kick in at the start of your turn.

Yeah, this list i feel will be very good against high model count armys, but against smaller more elite armys i will strugle i think. I am looking for ways to tweak the list to be better against elite armys aswell. Anyone got any ideas on how to do this?

The nice thing is that you already have the tools to deal with elite armies. Cheap throwaway units to stall them (marauders) a massive tarpit unit to hold them up for ridiculous amounts of time (plaguebearers), and a model that can match them in elite-ness (Glottkin). Your plague drones' ability to cause mortal wounds will really pay off against elite armies, and if you keep your daemon princes both together with them it will be a good way of focus-firing one unit/monster down at a time. Also, it only takes 21 models slain to max out the tally, which isn't really that much especially considering benefits start kicking in at a mere 7.
