This book should remove the experimental rules stamp from the
Ta'unar
Y'vahra
R'varna
Barracuda AX-5-2

Also hopefully we'll get some updates to the points and rules for these and all the FW units. Currently they're not selling the kroot FW models or half the Hammerhead turrets. Does this mean new models are coming in or new vehicle types?
I'd like to see the following changes:

Y'vahra
- Vectored Thrust Array wargear wording change - simplified
At the beginning of any of the controlling player’s Movement phases, a Y’vahra battlesuit may Move between 12" - 24". This move represents a long bounding leap rather than true flight, This special movement may not be used in two consecutive turns.

- Nova power change - Vector Evasion: This model increases it's initiative by 2 while active. This increase is factored into initiative tests, close combat, etc... regardless of other rules.
++this change gives the Y'vahra a chance to use hit and run which it has natively by boosting it's initiative to 4 while active.

R'varna
- Change Flechette Discharger to a weapon - Heavy Flechette Discharge pods 12" Str 5 AP 4 , Heavy D6+6, Shred
- Allow R'varna to take all MC wargear options available to Tau
- Nova power changes
- Volley Fire: The model’s Pulse Submunitions Cannons can each be fired twice. Even though these weapons are fired twice, each still only counts as firing a single weapon.
- Electromagnetic Blastwaves: The model’s Pulse Submunitions Cannons gain the following profile - 60" Str2, AP 5, Heavy 3 Large Blast, Haywire
- Flank Speed: The models gains the Fleet special rule and can move 12" while this power is active.
- Pulse Submunitions Cannon - Changes
72" Str7, AP4 Heavy 1, Large Blast, Cluster Fire(*)
++Cluster Fire: Very Bulky models, as well as those with the Bike/Jetbike/Beasts/Cavalry type, suffer two hits each from this weapon at an increased Strength of 8 and AP 3. Extremely Bulky and Artillery/Monstrous Creature/Flying Monstrous Creature/ Vehicle (non-super heavy) models and specifically targeted buildings and fortifications suffer 3 hits each if they are hit by the weapon at an increased Strength of 9 and AP 2. Gargantuan Creatures, GFC, Super-Heavy Vehicles, suffer 4 hits each if they are hit by the weapon at an increased Strength of 10 and AP 1.

Commander R'alai
- 225pts
- Blacklight Marker Drones - now T5 and markerlights are networked marker lights
- Add Stim Injector to R'alai
- Add Shrouded to R'alai
- Remove Gets Hot from weapons
- Warlord Trait Grants Re-roll to wound / Armor pen
- Weapon changes
++Pulse Submunition Rifle, Exp. (hyper-density)
36" Str 9 AP 2 Assault 2, Armorbane
++Pulse Submunition Rifle, Exp. (ionic cluster-beam)
24" Str 7 AP 4 Assault 5, Rending
++Pulse Submunition Rifle
24" Str 5 AP 4 Assault 2, Large Blast, Shred

Remora Drones Changes
- Change BS to 4
- Add shred to Burst Cannons

Piranha TX-42 Changes
- Reduce price to 60pts
- Change weapons from TL to 2 of each weapon

Hazard Suits
- Drop price to 40 pts per suit naked
- allow 2 wargear options on top of the 2 weapon options
- Remove the ability to take drones
- +1 Wound
-Weapon Changes
++Fusion Cascade - 18" Str 8, AP 1 - Assault D3, Melta - 20pts each
++Phased Ion Gun - 18" Str 7, AP 4 - Assault 3, Rending, Blind - 20pts each
++Pulse Submunition Rifle - 18" Str 5 AP 4 Assault 2, Large Blast, Shred - 20pts each
++Twin Linked Burst cannons - 18" Str 5 AP5, Assault 4 - 10pts
What would you like to see?

Codex: Kroot. Secondhand Imperial special weapons and Shamans the way the 3e Chapter Approved list did it, with the Great Knarloc artillery herds from IA3.

I'm thoroughly confused as to the source of most of your proposed changes. O'R'alai seems fine to me, and making XV9s 20-40pts cheaper for 3 Wounds and vastly better guns seems like you're trying to make XV8s obsolete? Why am I taking a 52pt Crisis suit with two fusion blasters when for a mere 23 more points I can get 2d3 shots instead of 2 off a 3W T5 body? Similarly your changes to TX-42s seem like they'd invalidate normal Piranhas; the same cost as a normal Piranha with a fusion blaster for +1 side armour and an extra fusion blaster? And a Remora is already a 90pt Flyer that jinks for a 2+, comes in squadrons of up to five in a fairly uncrowded section of your Codex, and hauls two Seeker Missiles and a Networked Markerlight. What, exactly, was wrong with it in the first place?

O'R'alai - main complaint is his weapons get hot and have weird stats so hes a collection piece and not a unit thats seen on the battlefield.
- Also his drones are T4, he is T5 so he suffers from majority toughness problems and his drones are not networked so he can't use the markerlights they provide.
- He's forced to take them though but can't join units
= He's very much a crippled unit.
Solution - beef up his weapons, Make the drones he takes T5 (ghostkeel and riptide drones have increased toughness to match the parent model), give him FNP and Shrouded to be the one man army he's supposed to be. His warlord trait is the Assassin but it's really lacking and poorly worded.
- This comes at a cost increase of 20pts. Perhaps he should be 225 pts - so thats a 35pt increase

- The other Units you mentioned we're adjusted. I was overzealous in the changes to the TX42 and Remora. The pricing for the xv9's should be higher as well. So that was updated. to 40pts per model.

I'm of the belief that suits should have a clear progression in stat lines as they get bigger, more robust and more advanced - I would include FW and PAthfinders
Path - S3, T3, W1, Sv5+
FW - S3,T3, W1, Sv 4+
Stealth - Should be S3, T4, W2, Sv 3+
Crisis - Should be S4, T4, W2, Sv 3+
Hazard - Should be S5, T5, W3, Sv 3+
Broadside - Should be S5, T5, W3, Sv 2+
Ghostkeel - Should be S6, T5, W4, Sv 3+
Yahvra - Should be S6, T6, W5, Sv 2+
Riptide - Should be S6, T6, W6, Sv 2+
Rvarna - Should be S6, T7, W7, Sv2+
Stormsurge - Should be S8, T8, W8, Sv 2+
Ta'aunar - same at S9, T9, W10, Sv 2+

No one takes XV9 hazard suits. They are far to expensive, lack range and weapons are too weird. Again, another collectors model. Its difficult to not encroach on the Crisis Suit. But then again look at Space marines. Terminators / Cataphratcii Terminators / Tartaros Terminators....

- I'd also add that they should not have the ability to take drones.
- Drop price to 40 pts per suit naked - a crisis suit naked is 22pts
- allow 2 wargear options on top of the 2 weapon options *** Crisis suits get 3 slots. 4 slots for commander suits. XV9s are bigger and more advanced. They should have 5 slots. 1 is taken by the VRT the suit natively has. 2 for each weapon + 2 for added wargear - this allows the suit to take Stim injectors (FNP) & something else adding to their utility. Also their wargear should be costed the same as a crisis suits.
- +1 Wound - Again for being designed for close support - they should be able to take more punishment.

So now we have a suit that costs 40 + 15 for FNP + 25 for shield Generator
It's stats would be S5, T5, W3, Sv 3+ / 4++ / 5+++ at 80pts with no weapons - with 2 burst cannons the unit comes to 100pts. a squad of 3 is 300pts. - that's fairly costed. With two higher end guns, its now 120pts per model.
Crisis suits have the advantage of being cheaper weapons platforms with the ability to twin link weapons and have longer range weapons as well as access to AFP and CIB, and Drones.
- so it becomes a toss up - do i take the cheaper option or a hard hitting option with shorter range.

-Weapon Changes - UPDATED to reduce range to 18" accross the board
++Fusion Cascade - 18" Str 8, AP 1 - Assault D3, Melta - 20pts each
++Phased Ion Gun - 18" Str 7, AP 4 - Assault 3, Rending, Blind - 20pts each
++Pulse Submunition Rifle - 18" Str 5 AP 4 Assault 2, Large Blast, Shred - 20pts each
++Twin Linked Burst cannons - 18" Str 5 AP5, Assault 4 - 10pts
