The other places I have put this blog are pretty much dead now, but Dakka looks very active so I might as well move here.
I have had this army going for a fair few years now and my progress is very slow and irregular. I want to make progress now since I have been playing again (we still play 8th edition and don't plan to change). Posting might help motivate me.

Most stuff is work in progress so I am happy to take suggestions, I don't consider myself a great painter but I am willing to push myself and try new techniques.
My inspiration for the army came from a mix of really liking the Kraan model from Mierce Miniatures and liking polar bears in general. So I sought out to get as many into the army as possible. I now have 7 in my 2500 point list and have plans for a Hell cannon polar bear conversion.
My spiritual leader, Kraan (Exalted hero on demonic mount)
I want him to stand out but haven't figured out what to do for his armour yet.
His unit, Skullcrushers.
The bears were converted for me by
spiralingcadaver.
I have started painting them, here is where I am going with the colours.
I have two chariots that I use as gorebeast chariots. One needs to be finished (converting) the other just needs its painting to be finished.
Second chariot:
I don't really know how to paint wood nicely so need to work on that with them.
A unit of 24 warriors, also
WiP only front rank started.
The characters are my
BSB, which is from Avatars of War and converted.
This is the first model I have painted where I tried more than just base coat and wash for the face, so I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
The sorceror is from Mierce as well.
That was my first attempt at
OSL.
I have a unit of halberd warriors, which are from Avatars of War.
These warriors are what I am painting at the moment, the front rank is mostly done except for details but the photo didn't turn out so I will try that again when they are done.
The following bear I use as Scyla in my army. He is Ld10 so becomes my general which is sometimes bad but he surprisingly often does very well. I guess the opponents are busy focusing on the chimera, chariots and skullcrushers so he sneaks through. He is from Privateer Press.
Warhounds from the Space Wolf range.
They're going to be painted like wolves.
As my Chimera, I use a demogorgon model which I was fortunate enough to get from CentreStage Miniatures before they went out of business. Demogorgon was my favourite boss/monster in Baldur's Gate 2 so I had to add him.
I need to finish highlighting the green scales and I am not sure I like the purple so might change it to a different colour. His base is to show him being recently summoned. I like how the heads came out though, deliberately giving one a very warm feel and the other a very cold feel to represent them always being at war with each other.
Thats it at the moment. Comments, thoughts, suggestions welcome. Hopefully I will get a lot done over the next few weeks/months.
