Subject: [1000] - dispossessed competitive

Hello all,
So I posted a 1k/2k list for dispossessed but got no feed back sadly :( but hey much like a stubborn dwarf ill try again
New 1000 points of competitive... this time I'm sure it actually fall under a scary list
Heroes
ungrim
engineer
rune lord
Battle line
warriors x 10 - gw and shield, full command
warriors x 10 - gw and shield, full command
Artillery
cannon
cannon
other
slayers x 15 full command
miners x 10 - pony cart
1000 point on the nose
1 warrior unit is made to bubble wrap the cannons to basically guarantee me 2+ turns of shooting. slayers and ungrim and rune lord move up to fight take take objectives. warriors are used to hold points block cannons and assist where needed and miners pop out where needed to steal points.
thoughts?

The problem is Dispossessed infantry is just plain poor for its points. That's fine for casual but in a competitive setting I just don't see them being viable. The cannon setup you have is nice, but your infantry are probably going to be torn up very quickly, leaving you with no board control. Though YMMV with local meta, of course.

Warriors can make a mess of any enemy if you give them the extra rend from the rune lord and a warden kings command ability for +1 to hit along with there reroll saves if they dont run/charge they hit fairly hard and can hang around. Sure those buffs will work better on other units but warriors are battleline.

I agree the dispossessed infantry are a little lacking but the ironbreakers can take a punch 4+ re-roll and rend -1 has not effect. The slayers are at least able to kill you if you kill them that is pretty sweet. So we have to stick to our strong suit hence artillery. in 1k 2 cannons can do some real big damage even against units (re-roll damage on units 10+). slayers with ungrim beside them have 3 attacks each and a rune lord can give extra -1 where needed.
Mainly for this army to work I would need the cannons to do the main heavy lifting while units keep them safe. So I guess buf buf boom

I suppose it depends on how monster-heavy your meta is, since this list would perform well against those with low model count. I suspect Bonesplittaz, Tomb Kings, or Kurnoth Sylvaneth would give it a lot of trouble. But more to the point, I'm not seeing any way to make the list stronger, so I think its quite a good list from that angle. And if things are scaled back to a not-just-cheese level then you really have something.

Well I'd recommend staying at 1000pts since the cheesiest cheese doesn't come into it own until 1500.

What about Longbeards? 4+ rerollable saves on an infantry unit is pretty tough.

Iron breakers do it better 4+ reroll plus ignore rend of -1. But again its the points 100 for the warriors and +40 for the beards then +20 more for the breakers, so its numbers or quality which dwarfs have always been.

never had much luck with my warriors since AoS came out. Longbeards on the other hand with their buffs is awesome. At 1000 points though you really gotta mind the points per unit. I feel like your list is decent but as another said there will be certain armies that will crush you if they bring the cheese.
