Hey guys and beautiful gals hope you are having a nice day.

Well I am going to play with some friends later this month so I am doing up some imperal guard lists.

Here is what I know

Eldar wraith knight crazy guy
Orks
Space marine... Well to be fair titans with a few marines.

So here is the question for these games most people are running big stuff FW stuff. What can my little imperal guard ever do vs this? Bane blades stormsurges? Throw toy soilders at them?

FW lacks a super heavy imperal guard tank so what should I do?

Oh is the storm blade bigger then the bane blade? Actual model size.

Stormlord. 15 TL S 6 AP 3 Rending shots will do a hell of a lot for you, and you can literally fit an army in the transport bay.

Forge World has more content for the Guard than it does for everyone else put together (or did, before 30k). You'll be fine.

The Baneblade-chassis kit is a normal GW plastic kit, it contains eight variants built on the same hull (Baneblade, Banehammer, Banesword, Doomsword, Hellhammer, Shadowsword, Stormlord, Stormsword). On top of that you have access to four Macharius-chassis tanks, three vehicles built on the Crassus hull, the Gorgon, four Malcador variants, the Valdor, the Minotaur, and a unique Baneblade commander (all last printed in Imperial Armour 1 2nd Edition), as well as the Marauder and Marauder Destroyer (last printed in Imperial Armour Apocalypse).

The Shadowsword is your most effective Titan-killing tool in the Superheavies department (with a D-strength large blast at 120" range), its weakness is its inability to face down the Knights or Wraithknight in melee.

If you're open to Allies the Stormlord is a great focal point. It's highly resistant to most of the shooting you're facing, easily repairable, a great target for buffs (and easy for support characters to hide behind), and can effectively engage most targets on its own. Grabbing reliable psychic buffs, grav-cannons, and some counter-charge (remember that the Stormlord counts as open-topped when disembarking, which means you can charge out of it) from the Space Marines goes a long way towards keeping it alive and making up for the targets Guard can't deal with easily.

Aye, stick a bunch of Techmarines/Enginseers with servitors inside and watch your opponent weep as you repair faster than he can damage it.

...Can't recommend this one. You take five hundred points of Chimeras with Techmarines, I'll take five hundred points of scatterbikes. We'll see how long it takes for the Chimeras to go away.

I meant to put the Enginseers and Servitors inside the Stormlord

The stormlord doesn't actually have rending. See if you can get yourself a copy of the Mont'ka suplement's rulebook for your options. Personally, I have little trouble taking an Acheron for such things.

keep in mind no one's going to blink if you run an IK along side your guard (well or they'll blink no matter what super heavy you drop)

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Nuff said.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
