In my Grey Knights codex the techmarine entry has them with BS4, 1 wound, 1 attack and leadership 8, all one worse than the regular SM techmarine despite the GK being 25pts more.

Can anyone confirm if it's a printing error/been changed in erata or do i need to drop it from my list?

The stats look right for a techmarine. The stats that you are referring to belong to the Master of the Forge. Sorry

Everything we've got that isn't a Dreadknight is pretty overpriced, unfortunately.

It's correct. The Space Marine Techmarine got updated with their new codex and got merged with the "Master of the Forge" profile. The Space Wolves' Iron Priest (their Techmarine Equivalent) got updated in Warzone Fenris to that profile too.

However no such updates exist for Grey Knights. Blood Angels *might* get updated in the upcoming Black Crusade supplements, leaving GKs as the only ones with the old profile.

Note that GK techmarines do have one thing normal ones don't; they're psykers. Other than that though, they're objectively worse in every way.
