Greetings! Got a local tourney coming up, and here is my list. If you have some C&C, I'd love to hear it. The list might not be the most min/maxed list out there, but I would like thoughts on overall strategy and any ideas to make it better.

The little bloodletter blobs are for objective camping, and to get to the 7 unit req. for the Warscroll Battalion and get the bonus pile in and combat attacks in the hero phase. Or I could drop the Blood Host, sub out the small blobs of bloodletters for a 20 ..thing..unit of plagebearers to rot on the objectives. Also can swap a Herald of Khorne out for a Herald of Nurgle to bolster their staying power with fecundity.

If I drop the warscroll battalion and a Herald I can field a Skull Cannon. Just some ideas but that's all I have to work with. Either way I'm trying to stack +1 to hit (command and murderous tide, and the decapitating blow ability to spam mortal wounds. Heralds allow re-roll of one.. even more mortal wounds. Any thoughts on these options and which one sound best for the following missions:

The tournament is 3 missions. Take and Hold, Gift from the Gods, and Three places of power. T&H is easy..camp objective, rush with army. bloodletters and herald(s) move as one major force, while the bloodthirster takes another section of the board where He can do damage. Secrator is buffing everyone, out of the way.

Three places of Power is where the Nurgle Herald would come in handy! Either way the Secrator heads for the middle objective with both blobs of bloodletters and Herlad(s). Bloodthirster heads for the other objective. If no nurgle herald, then bloodsecrator hangs back with bearers.

Gift from the gods I will position campers in equal distances from the two objectives. Bum rush army at enemy for maximum blood! Thoughts??

Not sure what the battalion does so I can't exactly go through that right yet, but if you drop it and you are willing to branch out, the Khorne Bloodbound heroes work very well with the daemons as they can increase their number of attacks or get them into combat even faster.

Thanks for the comment! The Khorne Bloodhost warscoll battalion allows d3 units to pile in and attack during the hero phase. Coupled with the Fury Bloodthirster's command ability to pile in 6" instead of 3" ... it is a very nice synergy..especially with big blobs of bloodletters.

Really need some help deciding whether to drop the battalion and go for a nurgle tag team or keep mono Khorne and the battalion and use less then optimal small blob bloodletter units as objective sitters.

As I recall the Blood Host requires a Bloodthirster then 8 Khorne Daemon units, so you aren't meeting the requirements here. Something you have right is 10-or-30 on the bloodletters as all of the daemon 'troops' are least effective at 20. You are absolutely going to need the Skull Cannon, ideally two if you can fit them in. Khorne just needs the ranged support. If you can snag a hellcannon instead that would be even better. Do you have any idea how competitive your local meta is and what armies will be at the tournament?

Its not a meta where everyone's list is min/maxed and super ultra competitive. And even if it is, I dont care. I'm going to have fun and see how much damage I can do. This is a game right?


It is indeed Bloodthirster and 7 additional units..so I am good there.

To get a skull cannon in there I would have to drop a camping unit and the bloodhost because I'm at the minimum for the battalion as it is. Or I could drop the battalion and one herald.

Alternatively I could drop the bloodhost, one camping unit, and one herald for a skull cannon and skarbrand. He can do more damage on his own. The Fury was to have a monster and use the blood host.

The Bloodsecrator doesn't fill a slot in the battalion.
