I love the fluff around terminators (non assault termies) I am fielding 10 of them in my army along with a chapter master. I am out of points for any type of transport for them. So my question is as follows...

To footsling them or deep strike? Any other tactics for the little devils?

Do you have any reserves and scatter mitigation in the list?

If you have CML, it is Ok to footslog them up the field, if you are taking Assault Cannon or Heavy Flamer, Deep strike them. However, either way your Terminator might be shot to blitz by the intense AP 2 weaponry.

The most effective footslog Terminator might be the Deathwatch Terminators, run as single man unit, and pack each of them a CML.

If you infiltrate them it would be less terribad.

Without transports, I always deepstrike my terminators unless I only have Terminators. despite everything that can go wrong, Deepstriking is not that bad on units that have a more reasonable chance of surviving.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I’d be wary DSing a full squad of 10. Pretty big footprint.

Just don’t plonk them down next to a squad full of plasma, and you should do OK.

Footslogging Termies are dead Termies, especialy against weapons like Gravs and Plasma guns. Deep strike them and prosper.

You could get them to midboard in one go with bunker + escape hatch - transport limit 20, so either 9+cm or 10 without cm.
Inquisitor with a book could get them a pretty reliable scout move.
Chapter master on a biker or with a jumppack would help a lot with assault ranges.
Librarians with new marine powers will allwo 1-st turn assaults with your termies, so no real need to ds if you're lucky with powers.

I'm fielding in my army...

Chapter master with 10 terminators, 2 cyclone missile launchers

5 man scout with sniper rifles one with beacon or teleport homer what ever it is called

5 man scout squad with sniper rifles

10 man devestator squad with 4 missile launchers

Knight Paladin

Storm wing (2 storm talons 1 storm Raven)

1 tech marine and 3 servitors inside the storm Raven

So it is highly suggested I deep strike them?

Shame they aren't assault termies. 2/3++ is a tough nut to crack even if they're walking up the table

I feel like this is something chaos termies can do better than loyalists (without storm shields). CSM can field terminators cheaper and just hide a couple of chainfists and a character in a blob. It's going to fail badly sometimes but if the opponent lacks AP2 shooting or you make a few invulnerable saves they could be surprised by a unit like that

Anyway, I like the escape hatch idea. A librarian with the re-roll saves power makes any unit of terminators appearing out of the hatch quite interesting
