I'm strongly considering getting into 9th Age, and have some ideas for my army. My question, though, is what setting is 9th Age in? is it a generic new world that can fit just about anything, or is it the Old World from WHF? I need to know how many creative liberties I can take with my army from the standard or possibly preexisting lore.

Right now there is no official lore; they've set out to make a game that works first and put the lore back together later. You should have quite a lot of creative liberty.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Awesome! Well, awesome and not. The reason I'm interested in 9th Age is because I'm in the mood for some fluffier battles then what I generally do with Dragon Rampant. Not having played it I really don't know; Its just in my experience people tend to not create stories like I do where there is none.

Do people tend to run fairly fluff-based games where you play?
