Hey guys..

Was hoping someone could help me with my Eidolon model. Bought it today and I love it.
I can't, however, seem to figure out the base he's on.

Am I right in assuming that the small round black base - the regular miniature base - can be taken off (along with the top part of the scenic base and Eidolon himself) of the bottom part of the scenic dreadnought after full assembly? (Like the Angron model for example if Im not mistaken).
I dry fitted all the pieces.. Putting together the bottom three parts of the contemptor dreadnought scenic base locks in the smaller black regular round model base (or lock it out, if you will). Even gluing two of the three bottom base parts together locks the small round base in or out.

I should be able to take the model off of the big scenic bottom part of the base and put it back on, even after full assembly right? Or do I need to leave the bottom parts unglued?
What am I missing?

Thanks!

All of the forgeworld character series models with a Scenic base and a play base that are designed to slide in and out of one another for display and play, some of them like Horus, Eidolon, and others come with extra pieces that slide in and out to cover up the black plastic part of the play base. These pieces are designed to be left loose to slide in and out at will not glued in place.

So in Eidolons example the three extra pieces are there to cover up for display and are not supposed to be glued down unless you want him permanently on the display base.

Ahh.. Thanks. That explains. I figured as much (one of the parts really look slike a slide-in kind of thing) but I was hoping it would all fit.. Too bad it doesn't. Maybe I'll use some magnets.

Eidolon, like Fulgrim is designed to have pieces rest or magnetise/rest on his big display base.
It sort of makes sense, because you'd leave those at home to play him. I dislike the idea myself.
