Well, I've got fed up with trying to find old metal Storm Guardians on eBay to pinch the fusion guns from for my Corsairs so I thought I'd have a go at making some of my own (plus, I much prefer plastic models in general).
So far I've found that it's actually really rather easy to carve up a Shuriken Catapult to look like the Storm Guardian fusion gun body, and the tips of Harlequin fusion pistols work rather nicely too.
The bit I'm stuck with is the fuel tank. I've tried a couple of things but everything seems too big/not the right shape.
Any ideas for a bit I might be able to use for that?

How many do you need? I might have a few of the old fusion guns lying around at home. I'll have a check when I get in this evening. They will be the ones off of these sprues:

Yeah, if you eBay search for old guardian plastic sprues from 2nd edition (as shown above) you maaaay luck out. Failing that, look for some beat-up cheap crappy resin Fire Dragons?
I took some resin Fire Dragons and chopped them up to make some old metal Guardians into meltagun guys. Shuriken catapults are a little more tough to carve up.

Yeah I've been keeping an eye on eBay for 'eldar fusion gun' but I'll add in ' oop guardian' to that as well
It was more thinking that I've got tons of shuriken catapults and tons of fusion pistols, the only thing I need is a convincing fuel tank.
Doesn't have to be Eldar either as it's a generic enough shape. I wonder if there are any 'single grenade' bits...

I cut my fuel tanks from the resin fire dragons (because they carry spares on their backs).

There must be some beads or similar the rough kind of shape. Fill the ends with gs and away you go.
