Hey
I'm after an anti drop pod eldar list and can only see the Nightwing and Firestorm with intercept.
I've seen a few different variants for rules the latest not having intercept.
Does it still have it? Can Eldar craftworld armies have one? If both are a no what do you guys use to kill
drop pod troops?
TIA

I dont think FW has made the model in many years, I cannot recall the last time it had rules...im not sure if it was in the Mymeara reprint.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.
New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

The Firestorm has no model but it's rules are in the current version of Doom of Mymeara. It does have Skyfire though, so you're snap shooting at ground troops.
The Nightwing doesn't have Intercepter.

Specific anti-drop-pod tech is hard to come by. A Firestorm isn't going to help much; it has Interceptor, but it'd be snap-firing at Drop Pods and the people that come out since they aren't Flyers/Skimmers/FMCs/Jetbikes.
Also as far as I can tell the Firestorm in IA11 isn't available to the Craftworlds anyway; it's in the Corsair-specific list, not the 'war machines of the Eldar' list. We may be stuck with the Aeronautica printing (can't be squadroned, more expensive, can transport six models, uses Craftworld vehicle upgrades).
You sort of have to figure out how to bunker up and not die to the turn one wave; transports, cover, psychic powers if you got turn one, and lots of distributed targets all help. If you can live through the opening barrage you should be able to concentrate force a lot better than the Space Marines can and chew them up piecemeal. Your own Reserves contingent can also help since you're guaranteed to come in and get the drop on at least half the podded squads, if you're confident what you've got on the table can live long enough.
(If your opponent is spamming grav weapons you can put a small allied Harlequin contingent down first in preparation to laugh uproarusly when your opponent realizes 'no armour save' means 'immune to grav weapons', but it's the sort of thing that only works once)

Except Grav specifically states that it wounds on a 6+ vs no armour save.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.
