More interesting social media interaction from GW. They now have a gallery page on their website using images from Instagram with the hashtag #PaintingWarhammer
I'm sure we'll see many Dakka-ites in there somewhere so congrats if your stuff shows up .

Hopefully this will lead to what GW had back years ago, and have hobby sections as well. I really miss them. One of the reasons why I never bought so much as I did. Taking away less motivation means less motivation to buy.

Hopefully this will lead to new better things or old good things back.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Makes me wish I was even half-way decent at painting..

If they expand to fan art then I'll be set, though!

They won't. After all, a lot of the fan art is even better than what GW is putting in their books.

I'm assuming they were smart enough to have a manual adding step, to avoid people just using the hashtag to make it onto the site. They won't want to allow anything that isn't 100% citadel. I'm curious if they'd even allow something that had, say, a vallejo paint in the background.

They ask permission in the photo comments and give a link to the legalese. I would assume this is to build a pool of possible images to rotate through in case there's a drought. I've had about 4 photos they've requested to use but I don't see them in the gallery.

@Davor, Haha, they don't have to worry about my sketches as competition.

I think it'd still be a good idea as it encourages the community, gives some nice inspirations and shows GW potential artists they can hire.
