I was born a pure Brit in some obscure part of the United Kingdom, but I'm probably more Arab considering how much of my life I've spent living abroad

I was born in Ukraine, so I used to be from Ukraine. Only now it is Russia, so nowadays I am from Russia. And since I now live in the Netherlands, I could say I am from there as well.
Usually I just say I am from Crimea.

I agree. And my city is basically the home of football chants. Half the ones in the UK come from Swansea.

Actually that probably is true, except against Sri Lanka, whose flag has a lion wielding a double-handed scimitar single-handedly.
New Mexico's flag has a crocodile wielding a minigun and a flame-thrower, but it isn't a separate country so it doesn't count.

They usually are, you just have to factor in the fact that some people will be living in countries they aren't from. Not many, but a fair amount I'd say - I was living in another country for half of the 3 years I've been on Dakka, only just returned home.
Edited because I couldn't count to 10 on a Monday morning...
