Hello guys/girls!

I currently working on a Youtube video that I plan and for that I would need a series of pretty specific questions answered.
So I'm more than grateful for every helpful answer.

It would also be really nice if you could reference where you get the informations yourself.

So while there will be more questions coming, for the time being, I would like to know more about the Stormtrooper/Scion Equipment.

Starting by they Carapace Armor.
I would like to know, as a reference point, how many if any lasgun hits that armour can take?
The reason is that I have a rough idea what damage a Lasgun can do and can make then comparisons to other armours.

Has for the Hellfire (is that still the name?) guns, how much better are they in terms of lasguns?
Do they "just" shoot faster or do they reach the penetration the weapon profile promises (D3, the last time I played)?

If there was a reasonable a way to get to this answer per searching, I apologize but I can assure you that I will have more question in future.

I can't give you specifics but quite a few at the very least.
As for hellguns, they are objectively better as they have a lot more autonomy ( "infinite" shots vs a few hundred), pack more power AND armor penetration. Then there's hot-shots which uses individiual powercells and lacks the autonomy of full auto/abundance of power. Both weapons are more heavy and scarce than regular las.

The hotshot lasgun is the official weapon in the code (personally, I use hellgun because it sounds cooler), it can pierce power armor both in the fluff and in the TT but there are no mention of ammo reserve. You could wing it and mention that there are different patterns of hotshot, some made to work with the backpack, others using energy clips. There is no accurate numbers for shots blocked by carapace armor, but it has stopped bolt rounds in Ciaphas Cain, I think and many bullets. Its also apparently able to withstand atmospheric reentry with only a protective shroud.

If you can find a copy of the Scion codex, it will help you quite a bit

do you think that describing the scions as doing three major jobs in the guard ("granadier"/infiltrator/"paratrooper") would be accurate?

They"re pretty much special forces, think of what you think the SEALs/Delta/JTF2 do, and they usually do that kind of thing.
