Hello everyone.

Long time lurker here although newly conscripted.

I wanted to ask the collective wisdom of the world - Can legion specific terminators (in my case, deathshroud) take Anvillus Pattern Drop Pods as dedicated transports?

I know regular terminators can - it's in their entry (may select......)

But since Age of Darkness Legions there's no option on any terminators ('cept SoH) to take Anvillus Drop Pods. Now AOD Army List has been released the Anvillus is in there.

But the cutout box which used to say "may be selected by any terminator armour equipped unit" (which was in the old LA rules) has been removed.

From what I'm reading - this means that

a) Legion Specific Units don't mention taking ADP as Dedicated.
b) No Rite of War allows them to be taken for legion terminators.
c) The box allowing you to take it Dedicated has been removed from the ADP entry.
d)"Normal" terminators may take them since it's a dedicated option.
e) that sentence about being taken is removed from the Legions of Darkness SoH entry too - so you can't get one that way either.

Does this restrict me to 3 ADP chosen as normal from FA slots?

FWIW - I have 6 AND a kharybdis - which used to be enough to drop in my Breachers, grave wardens, deathshrouds and normal cataphractii termies down in a "Death Comes for You" first turn drop.

I know I've gained inertial guidance - but if I can no longer take 6 im gonna be peeved. Still not gotten over the fact I can't take a Power Scythe on my Primus (no fist = no scythe).

P.s. - Battlescribe is wrong.

As far as I can tell Legion-specific Terminators can no longer take Dreadclaws as Dedicated Transports under the current rules. Justaerin may because the Sons of Horus Dreadclaw entry specifies that they may.

If you want to take six Dreadclaws in Death Guard you can do it, but your options are a little more limited than they used to be and your Grave Wardens/Deathshrouds are going to have to ride in pods chosen from your Fast Attack selection. Either take Orbital Assault and use Tactical Marines as your Troops (they can take Rhinos as Dedicated Transports, unlike Breachers, and thus get Dreadclaws under the Rite), or use Pride of the Legion or Primarch's Chosen to get Terminators in Troops, give your Legion-specific Terminators pods out of the Fast Attack section, and the generic Terminators the pods they can get normally.

Breachers, Grave Wardens, Deathshrouds, and normal Terminators all in pods appears to be gone, unfortunately; sorry.
