I am looking to make my own storage for my knight army(5 imperial knights) that is all magnetized weapons. No one has a good compact way to store them. So I want to cut my own foam to them in to a 7in deep foam tray with out there weapons.
The problem is I not for sure how to cut the foam that thick. I thought about a carpentry knife but that will be hard to get it to look good I think.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Also what is the best glue to use on foam that will not make it all stiff ?

Lets have fun

May I suggest the KR Multicase IG24 tray? Probably the best you'll get, and you can use some spare foam to store the weapons that aren't attached to the arms.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

There are 2 options.

Automatic bread knife, fast fun but not that good in details -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqodjNexy7w

Melting it, with a hotwire. Slow, toxic fumes, and issues with breaking the wire but it is good at details -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi3CAtpvJJs

old mattress foam or old chair foam is dirt cheap to come by and works perfectly

Glue always makes it stiff. Construction kit / glue works fine, it does make it a bit less flexible.

Yea I looked into those and it just adds up fast. I would need 3 boxes to do all 5 knight, so then I would need a bag to put them in. trying to save some money.

was not for sure if a hot wire would look. everything I see using it is on foam board. Maybe I will just give it a try.
