I would probably just drop that 4th unit of footslogging Plague Marines for 4 solo Nurgle Spawn to hop around for objectives.

9 points over if I do that... But I hear ya.. An earlier variation of the list had a bunch of Nurgle Spawn for quick mobility.. But 80 zombies on the board that come back in outflank on a 4+ clutter the board up quite a bit... That last group of PM are the squad that Typhus and Dark Apostle hang in.

I made a similar list, but unfortunately I'm not played yet

You can put Typhus and Dark Apostle in a large mob of zombies (20?) and play spawn instead the 4th unit of plague marines

I've tried that too... Majority toughness 3 vs majority toughness 5.... Though 20 wounds vs 5.. But the PM have a 3+ with FNP instead of 6+ with FNP.. It's definetly a slow list with the exception of the DP and maybe the Rhinos if they move flat out... But with the benefit of coming in from outflank reserve on a 4+ if they're killed- zombies actually give me some pseudo mobility- with so many of them marching down the board, they give the army a commanding board control and are a pain to clear out.

I am not sold as to whether running zombies in a Black Crusade detachment is better than simply running a CAD with Obj sec.

I am sold that a Black Crusade Detachment with a Chaos Warband Core Choice (which gives Obj Sec) is superior to a CAD in EVERY WAY.

I agree in regards to the Warband, but one cannot take cultists in that particular formation...Which is to what I am referring. One of the main strengths of zombies is the ability to squat on an objective and not worry about losing it until someone grinds through all of the bodies. In the case of The Lost and the Damned, a unit of jetbikes can swoop in last minute and contest the objective, which really defeats the primary reason of using cultist zombies in the first place. I also don't think that the outflanking ability trumps Obj Sec, as it only goes off 50% of the time (Black Crusade Detachment aside, I like the Crimson Slaughter's Cult of Slaughter as a more reliable source for re-spawning zombies).
