Stormcast get two battalions that allow them to drop down on the enemy from above. Both have their pluses and minuses, and while I've been enjoying my Skyborne Slayers quite a bit, I was wondering about using Warrior Brotherhood instead. Anyone played with one or against one? You have to position farther away, but you can mitigate that somewhat with a Knight-Azyros. Losing out on Battleshock immunity sucks a bit, but isn't the biggest deal in the world. It also allows you to go Retributors + Protectors instead of Desolators + Protectors if you want.

The biggest difference in my eyes is the ability to spread out. With Skyborne, I often feel cramped in my attempt to get on the objective I want while also getting things set up to charge. Especially if you read the Skyborne rule as "all models must be within 12" of the point you choose" instead of "all units must be partially within 12" of the point you choose" (which we're still deliberating).

Fwiw Skyborne Slayers is units must be within 12". So as long as one part of one model from the unit is in range the whole unit is in range.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
