Sorry for the annoying question, but does anyone have experience with Mig Jimenez panel line washes? I had one that I used for my minis, but accidentally spilled it and now is thick. I cannot thin this with water and I do not have any enamel thinners around and honestly cant even remember where I got this wash from. So the question is how can I thin it? ISO and water are obviously out of the question, so there must be some other random chemistry I can use from the local hardware?

You can use white spirit or an enamel thinner. Usually I go for the enamel thinner made by the company that made the enamel since there are slight differences in the composition (so use Testors thinner for Testors paints and Humbrol thinner for Humbrol paints). MIG make their own enamel thinner as well but I personally haven't tried it.

MIG actually make a thinner specifically for washes but again I haven't tried it:

You can probably get away just using white spirit though.

I'd like to add my .02 and recommend a 50/50 mix of mineral spirits & lacquer thinner. I've also had great results with straight lacquer thinner, but it depends on the brand of paint and the temperature & humidity. Best to play around and see what works best. The advice that I always give is to start off with the manufacturer's own recommended thinner; it might be slightly more expensive, but, if something goes wrong, you have some comeback. See here some guide of How to Thin Enamel Paint for Maximizing Results will help you a lot. Thanks
