Subject: [1850] - Space Marines (Iron Hands)) - Return of [Language Warning] Prime

Was toying around with the idea of [MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] Prime and wanted a reliable way to get Sanctuary to boost his Invul up to 2+ for basically re-rollable 2+ Invul. Thought of allying GK with Stern who has Sanctuary by default, as well has taking advantage of Paladins who can provide a Terminator Apothecary. Here's what I've come up with so far. Still a couple of points short of 1850 so there's some room for expansion.
++Iron Hands Fist of Medusa Detachment++(1048)
+Core (868)+
Stormlance Battle Demi-Company
Captain with Cataphractii Terminator Armour (205)
-Gorgon's Chain
-Thunder Hammer
-Lightning Claw
-Auspex
-Melta Bombs
-Digital Weapons
Bike Squad (103)
-Sergeant with Combi-Grav
-2 Grav Guns
Devastator Squad (165)
-4 Missile Launchers
3X Tactical Squads (135 each)
-Drop Pod w/ Locator Beacon
-Meltagun
-Sergeant w/ Combi-Melta
+Auxillary(180)+
Honoured Ancients
Ironclad Dreadnought (180)
-Chainfist w/Melta
-Power Fist w/Bolter
-Dreadnought Drop Pod
++Grey Knights Nemesis Strike Force++(739)++
Brother Captain Stern (185)
Paladin Squad (342)
-Apothecary with Falcions
-Paladin with Hammer
-Paladin with Warding Stave
-Paladin with Falcions
-Paladin with Psycannon and Falcions
Terminator Squad (212)
-Justicar with Hammer
-Terminator with Warding Stave
-2 Terminators with Falcions
-Terminator with Psycannon and Falcions
The idea is to drop-pod either two Melta Tacticals or one Tactical and the.Ironclad Dread on turn 1 to pop vehicles and set-up locator beacons for [MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] and his retinue of Paladins to Deep-Strike. Stormlance Battle Company gives a sort of "run after shooting" ability which will allow the Deep-Strike units to either find some cover or get closer to the enemy. With [MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] tanking shots for the Paladins on his 2++ re-rollable they should be able to weather even the worst of Tau Interceptor fire and at the same time draw enough fire away from the Terminators, Devastators and Bikes to do some damage. Once [MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] and co. get into combat they should readily tear apart anything short of maybe Anggrath or a D-Axe Bloodthrister, and even then they'll be having a hard time getting wounds on [MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] unless they luck out a 6 on the D table.
Of course, the lack of long-ranged shooting really limits what this list could do. I was considering skimping on a couple of Paladins to buy [MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] an OG Land Raider or ally in some Inquisition. Any criticism and suggestions are really welcome.

Your [MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] moves 6" a turn, he's going to struggle to catch the more mobile armies, as well as not being able to prevent enemies from moving to the side and shooting the unit from a different side so [color=orange][MOD EDIT - Language! - Alpharius] isn't the closest.
In fact, the only models in your list who can move more than 6" a turn is the bikes.
Don't get me wrong, you've got a nice unkillable blob there and anything that's within charge distance is going to be in trouble, but you're spending a lot of points on a deathstar that has no real source of invisbility nor reserve manipulation. You're going to effectively 1000 points short until turn 3/4/5 depending on reserve rolls. Can the remainder of your army handle that?

Allying with GK is definitely the way to go. Take stern and a lv3 + dominus librarian. The solution to your mobility issue is gate of the infinite.
I took a similar list a few months ago and swept the eldar meta despite the profusion of scatterlasers.

Ps: you can't take a terminator captain in a stormlance. If you want the catifracti it's BDC or HQ slot only. :(

Thanks for all the constructve criticism. You're right in saying that lumpingclose to a thousand points in a single unit is pushing it a litle and wil certainly suffer in Maelstrom missions.Replacing Stern with a ML3 Liberian using the Book will certainly give a very good chance at rolling both Gate of Infinity and Sanctuary, but I'm not too sure how good the odds of rolling both in one game is, since we're getting 4 out of 6 powers on the table and Sanctuary is kinda staple snce 3++ re-rolling ones and 2++ re-rollable is a huge difference when the numbers get bigger. I have indeed thought about using Gate of Infinity as a means of mobility but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to chargeafter usin it. Is there any rule clarification on this?

You cannot charge after Gate of Infinity. It's just like a normal Deep Strike.
