So for those of you who are familiar with the Deathwatch Overkill rules, do you feel that the roumored 8th edition could go that way? A huge simplification?

For those of you who aren't familiar with overkill you basically have all the rules you need for a miniature in a small card where you have attacks represented as a number of dice showing the result you need (Eg. if your mini has 3 attacks and needs 4 to wound it is represented by a picture of 3 die showing the n4 face) and you basically have 3 usr and all other special rules are written on the card. Also you do not roll to hit and wound, you just roll once.

I have the feeling they could go a bit in this direction to attract new players.. but up to what point?

Personally I would like to see a dual system, one with simplyfied rules if you want to get a quick game and the more complex rules if you want some more depth (yes, i know, complexity and depth don't necessarily go hand in hand).

What are your thoughts on this?
