Hi, i'm participating in Schools League for this year, and i'm not sure if my army is optimal for it

Now having just played my 3 games for the school league (our school got through) with a 3:0 win/loss record I can say that flyers at this points level are nasty however you have 1 third of your army in reserves I personally might drop the dark talon for more bikes also get some special weapons on those bikes meltas are pretty good all rounders. Also what are the tacs purpose? Thy don't really seem to have any purpose other than sit on objectives and at 450pts seems like a lot of points not doing anything. Also if you would like to see my list and my teammates lists just ask to give you some examples of quite powerful lists

unacquainted with school league specifics, so bear with me? however:

1: you a have a single troop and no HQ. not even enough for an allied slot. maybe my missing school league knowledge is showing here, but no ObSec, and marines footslogging and unupgraded are gonna die horribly.

2: WAY too many points invested in that Vindicator. in larger games sure? but at 450pts? losing that tanks gonna hurt like hell...

3: Bringing a flier is risky. unlikely to be hard countered at those points; but depending on board size may not be around for long enough to kill its pts back, let alone yield a profit.

4: unupgraded bikers are deadweight bikers. you're fast, tough; but unable to do any damage.

What's a school league?

As others say above, the vindicator and flyer aren't really appropriate at 450 points.

All Tactical Squads need transports to be effective. Rhinos and drop pods are most cost effective.
